From what I’ve seen so far, that there’s no big difference in comparing class room training and computer based training (CBT). Of course they’re obviously different in terms in methods but still they are just basically teaching, all in all. But I’m here to reason out, why CBT.
First off, in formal training, a person can achieve the training thru the use of a classroom with a instructor led. Providing that person with various IT CBT training via Web Based Training (WBT) or CD/DVD Based Training; and with books, IT training videos, and other reference materials.
You see, the main IT CBT training methods are usually used are classroom and CBT with reference materials, IT training videos and books are being used to supplement them.
The classroom with instructor led training delivers advantages for the person to learn IT certification CBT, but it has its disadvantages. For instance, studying further from the office at another location with time set aside dedicated to learning a new courses. Also costs are more expensive as it involves the course fees, travel, accommodation and other miscellaneous expenses. And access to a trainer for the duration of the course and often for a limited period after the course itself.
But, classroom training is the option to choose if you have the ability to be away from the office and have no budget constraints. While the IT certification CBT features individuals that can study at their own time and pace thereby learning at a rate that they are comfortable with. And of course it’s lower at costs, since CBT is much more cost effective than any classroom training. Also it allows multi-user option to allow a company to train more than one person with the same budget or less than sending on a classroom course. And IT certification CBT courses combine instructor led IT training videos with examples through simulations, test questions and interactive sections, thereby using more than one learning method which greatly enhances both the student’s interest and retention level. Not to mention, when finishing the entire course, you’ll have an IT certification CBT approval as a sign of accomplishment.
Basically, IT certification CBT mostly combines the best efficient and effective results in a classroom IT CBT training. You get everything, such as the video of instructor sessions with reference materials full of technical information and even a practice questions to provide a great all round training experience which is beneficial to both student and employer.
So, in conclusion, the choice depends on how much costs are you willing to give, both has certain advantages and disadvantages. But leave availability and the personal training style preference of the student.
